Punk before Punk was Punk

If you did or didn't know, African-Americans started most of what we know as punk music in America. Most think the African-American band Bad Brains from Washington DC started the music movement in the late 1970's, but another bands music has recently found its way into the mainstream. A recording was released last March that was previously traded on the underground of punk enthusiasts for hundreds of dollars. The album originally recorded in 1973, came from a Detroit band called Death. The more I listen to them, the more revolutionary they have become. Even the name of the band, which was considered terrible in its day, is revolutionary. Only seven songs on the EP, but amazing to say the least...
