loosing weight...

I had no idea just how much the front cowling/fairing actually weighed until I yanked it off. I'd guess its between 30 and 40 pounds. Then bike feels SOOOOO much better. lighter, more responsive, more fun.

Wow, that looks pretty good for just taking the fairing off. Blogger's not working right, so I can't enlarge it, but it looks like you've got a little driving light on the front?

Badass!

yeah, that light is temporary, its way to small and mostly useless. I stole it off my truck... need to figure something out.

I might have something that will get you by a little better, but I recommend getting these:

What I really want to do is put the pro tapers on with the risers you gave me, just need to figure out a way to raise the front end so I can drop the forks. No center stand & pipes in the way makes it a difficult job for someone as lazy as me.

You can jack it up on the pipes if you have to. Or take the top tree off. Or just bring it over.

When I get a minute, I'll bring it over for sure... Taking the top tree off in this case wont help cuz I need the fork legs flush on the top trees to install the risers and use the bars. Make sense? They stick over about 2" now.
