Old Pics

This is my Uncle Ron (on the left in the picture below). He's always been into small displacement Honda's from way back. Just thought I would post these up just because he has always had some sort of bike. The CM400 on the bottom he just bought this past year. Its a 1980...I'm sure plenty of coke was snorted off a hookers ass while riding this thing when it was new. Actually probably not.

I told him I hope he isn't using that bicycle helmet for his motorcycle. He said no he isn't, he just isn't wearing a helmet at all.

pretty sure the bike in Purple Rain was a 400 twin. I'm sure Prince did some coke snorting off Appolonias ass, does that count?

Purple Rain bike was a CM400 Hondamatic and Prince probably snorted the coke off his own ass, since he didn't have to worry about shifting.

My first bike was also a CM400 Hondamatic. It might've even been the first bike I got a ride on, since it's the first I remember. My grandpa had one. He didn't like shifting I guess, but all my uncles did. Later, someone offered me one if I could get it running. I did, for 2 weeks, and then it stopped. Never had a title, so I didn't really own it, so sometimes I'll just say my first bike was the KZ650, and avoid some embarassment. It seemed really fun at the time, though. That CM400 below seems to have a drum front brake? Mine was a '78 and had a disc. What's up with that?

Huh, that is interesting. Maybe he was mistaken on the year of the bike when I asked him about it. I did a little research and the CM400 was a precursor to the Honda Rebel made from 79-81.
