New shoes

Converted to tubeless after some nerve racking drilling of the valve holes. Thanks for the valve stem advice Dan!

I have been waiting a long time to see a GS with knobs.
It's everything I dreamed of.

This is cool. I'd like to put TKC80s on my GS550. Did you have problems regarding the sideways clearance? I mind that the nobby TKC is wider than the Bridgestone BT45 (despite the same theoretical tire width).

The TKCs are nice tires, no problem with width clearance in the back if you use stock sizing - this was a 130.

I had issues with the front tire though. There is no TKC size that's narrow enough for the GS front rim, resulting in a severely pinched tire with almost no contact patch. Very sketchy on the road.

Later GS1100 rims are 1/2" wider than the ones on my GS1000, maybe that would have been better. I didn't find out - instead I switched to Tourance's since the big GS is completely not an offroad bike.

The knobs sure do look cool though.
