Today's images...

Went to a different gate along the ABL (Administrative Boundary Line) and talked with the EULEX police and a Serbian that was translating for the people that didn't speak the language...good conversations and interesting stories over some Turkish coffee about the war and working along the ABL. There are several other Germans and French military here, but the EULEX people run the gate. I have a picture of me standing on the ABL (between Kosovo and Serbia), but this top one is looking down from a hill top. You can see Serbia down below. They have a road block setup right around the corner so no one can come through here at all.
The Germans have the coolest trucks...
Also went to Mount Goles. This was a strategic and a military base for the Yugoslavian military and whoever has owned this area during any war here. This was a bombed out Yugo military building. DPR sticker left in the bathroom...

These are awesome! You kinda make it look like a bitchen winter mountain camping scene from an REI catalog. only with automatic weapons.

dumb question, and I understand if it's iffy to answer in a public forum(tho no one but us really reads it): do you guys ever just kinda of unload a clip or two in one of these bombed out buildings?

Haha..no, no unloading of clips on random buildings. Safety always...we wouldn't want a ricochet round to take someone out. I've unloaded plenty at the range though on old vehicles or whatever.

DPR=Worldwide!

Nice pics of the graffiti scene there...I assume those weren't done by the locals?

Well, not necessarily...like spanish is the second language in the US, english is the second language in Europe. Most know how to speak it at some level or say a few words. There have been British, Canadians, and Americans stationed up here...anything is possible.

Why do all areas posted with "no trespassing" signs look so inviting? The freshly painted red gate, fluffy snow covered mountain, crisp river water beckoning would be bathers...
Also, I think the German surrender allows you to commandeer those cool German trucks.

Haha...forgot about commandeering German military vehicles. For some reason I don't think that would go over well with them regardless. All of the Germans are pretty cool...they would probably let me take it for a spin around the block if I wanted too.
