I saw that last night, I have a very bad feeling about that bike. Something pretty serious is wrong. That said, wish I had a grand to play with, the front end alone is killer.
I bet the problem is not really unknown, but instead very expensive and time consuming to fix. But I am currently a motorcycle pessimist, so a grain of salt please.
I don't think that pessimistic Ben, I think that's realistic.
Posting is already gone, that didn't take long at all...
That posting makes me feel like the person is very disappointed that his bike stopped running, and just want it out of his sight. But, I'd happily pay 1k and assume the engine is not fixable. There are a lot of options for something that fits a sportster engine.
