Encouraging words to drink by and learning to surf, taking advantage of a break in the weather.

Thanks for the help Dave and Ben!
B & D, the more tall boys, the better the footage... from tom on Vimeo.
I've been fighting my wat through a learning curve with new software (Adobe Premier) so with that and getting camera settings dialed in a bit, it's getting closer.  Without any kind of post production the video footage looks like a Mexican soap opera, but the motion is clean.  Shot in Cine mode at 60 fpsi. Neatrual white balance, and about four beers in me.

Runs in the family

I've had these photos up before on a now defunct blog but thought I'd put them on this mecca of entertainment for everyone to see.  The first one is my dad hauling ass standing still on a Yamaha 305 with a sweet custom plywood and plexiglass fairing, 1969.  The second two are of the same gentleman making a roadside adjustment (possible swapping a melted spark plug?) on his Yamaha 125 in 1970.  Hipsters: note the pretty metalflake laying in the grass.

Baab takes a trip

A 3000 mile shake down after winter repairs & upgrades - the only real problem was a broken speedo on day one.  Not bad at all.

DC, the day after the now legendary hat trick of whiskey vomit

Talladega superspeedway museum.  Wish we could've done a hot lap!

This super tall man and 1/2 scale elephant bust are the only interesting things in all of south central Illinois.

my kind of car.

I may not go to the event anymore, but I'm really happy for these guys, it's still growing but seems to be in control (somewhat anyways...). Scott went to high school with my sister and I went to school with Scott's brother Todd, so Fuel Cafe and rockerbox has always been close to home for me. Scott and Todd and Tim (co-owner of 'The Shop') raced a CB350 and a RD350 in the late 90's early 2000's, I'll try and find my pictures, it was from my first digital camera... The CB is still at the shop, seriously cool bike.  Thanks Jay for the heads up on this vid!

New Stickers??

Fuck Motostrano...

...I ordered one rear wheel on March 24th. They state on their website there is a 5-10 business day lead "sometimes more sometimes less". So I send an email 13 business days later and their response was "it will be another 7 business days until we ship it" add in 5 business day shipping from Cali and I will have effectively waited 1 month and 1 week. Not once was I given an update and on top of that he didnt give two shits about my order or that I was unhappy.

I told them to cancel and they seemed rather happy to oblige.

It appears this is a common occurrence with these people. Tell one tell all DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!!
