Quad Cities

Sounds like it's just Dave and I heading down to Davenport this weekend.

If I keep my shit together, I'll post something afterwards.
Don't hold me to it though, I still have about 4 years of Bonneville posts that I still have to post.
Maybe one about a Colorado trip too.

Is this editing or just the light?

The new/final Panigale has the richest looking tricolor paint I've ever seen, if it looks like this photo. We should all get one and start a Panigale 1299 R final edition tricolor gang.

Planning for mid July.

Who's game?  Eight day trip (give or take, whatever you can do). Mountain campground. Light to moderate to heavy riding (pending on how we feel that day). Channel the spirit of HST. Get yourself out there, ride, drive, fly, a couple three hours west of Denver. Close enough to civilization, but up and away.  Don't feel like riding? Lay in the mountain grass, look at the clouds and eat jelly beans, or hike, or chase mountain goats, or hippys. And drink Coors.

This is Hunter S Thompsons old bar he hung out at and eventually ran for sheriff of Aspen out of.

If you really feel adventurous, you can take Pearl Pass from Aspen to Crested butte, from what I've been reading, doable.

(people do it on bicycles and I think even hike it soooo......)

Full Squish

Got around to building myself up a full suspension bike.
Tore down my other bikes to build it up, but it was time that I get something proper to ride for the big jumps. I went into this with full intentions of building a straight ahead FS bike, but it got weird.

27.5x3.7" tire on a 45mm rim up front and a 29x2.5" on a 50mm rim on the rear
Other than that its your standard 2016 Fuel EX.
'92 RM250 inspired graphics to come

Way more important than my bike, is this bitchin' video that just came out.

Spring season opener gone swimmin

Met Dan and Patrick at Rocky Glen off road park in Rockford, lovely warm day in early April.  Unload our motorcycles and gear up, all good.  Five minutes later I was capsized in aproximately four feet of muddy water, bike was submerged up to the head light.  It took all three of us to pull it our from the swampy muck. Sorry no pictures of this shit show, as we were all standing in water at the time!  After a bunch of kicking and swearing and draining and tipping upside down and standing on rear wheel, Dan towed me back to our cars, it was puking out water and I was done for the day.
Jury is out if I destroyed the bike yet, I have been draining it for the past day and have on order all new filters, spark plug, etc.  I have been told kerosine works well to kick it thru, as does gas.

post swamp reflection and boot drain.

I also managed to sever a gas line between the tank and petcock removing the tank and sprayed two gallons of fresh gas all over me, and my basement, a real shit show.
I really am grateful, and quite lucky Patrick and Dan were there!  I did completely ruin their day of riding (It's $25.00 to ride there) however.  I owe 'em big time.
