inspiration...
Found this on chop cult, but it was built by a dude name Keron Grant. I likey. Not exactly sure how I'm going to molest my beautiful, new to me, sex machine 750, but this style is definitely in the running...

a song
I recorded a new song with/for Andrea, one of her's called "Little Bird". I did the guitar, percussion and lap steel and she did her singing thing. It's the first one at the following link: http://www.reverbnation.com/kittyversuswolf

BonerAgain
One of my favorite bikes this year. Something never gets old about seeing chicks ride bikes, especially a trick 2 stroke yammi tracker.

Rockerbox 2011
Often things that start like this...
...eventually get like this:
But Rockerbox is still fun.
Eventually we had to leave, but Max Wedge had to leave like this:
The zip ties replace a bracket that never was, but should've been, leaving the cracked braket you can see below the oil tank. We got it to Johnny Jeanjacket's shop in Delafield where I welded a new section to it and drilled it, and somewhere in the middle of that ended up riding to dinner in a 63 Impala done late-60s socal lowrider style, racing down farm roads with a 60s style pan chopper pulling along side in the oncoming lane, and period lowrider tunes making the Color-Sonic light show go off under the dash in front of me. Don't get hung up on the stuff, it was a beautiful moment. A time machine with good taste. And then eventually made it back to the shop to finish the sloppily remade bracket, which now includes a crude "engraving" of a penis on the bottom of it. Didn't head back to Madison til after 11.

Even though some of us had to work
while others enjoyed themselves at the rocker box festival of men, I knew at least Dan was thinking of me...

ffffuuuucccckkkk
Started a little hard leaving Dan's last night. Then I stopped for gas and it was bumpstart only. You know where I'll be tonight - in the garage, madly trying to get the GS working before Rockerbox, same as every year....
Okay, last DR post for a while, I promise
The matte/gloss combo...didnt have much punch until the striping was painted
Laying down the pinstripes...I was bit shakey for the first few lines but they seemed to straighten out after a while
All dun up
The budonkadunk...
Masking off the gloss so I can knock it down to a matte finish in the paneled areas

sometimes you see something so awesome...
...that even though you couldn't get a picture of it, you have to go post on your blog about it. So imagine there's a picture of a green and silver early 60's GMC pickup with a front end stretched just enough to fit two V8 big blocks end to end to make a V16, and the hood and sides cut away enough to see the chromed 8-into-1 headers on each side. And driving it is an old farmer-looking guy in overalls with his wife next to him, and on the back of the tailgate it says "Rap 'Em Pappy". He was pulling out of a gas station, which he probably does frequently when he drives that thing, and I couldn't get a picture. A whole lot more fun to see than a greaser in a period correct hot rod.
So I cheated with some HOK
I busted out some Spanish Gold HOK Kandy to give it more of a gold hue. Notice how green it looks here compared to the pic below when its outside.
Way golder than it looks in person but my excuse is that yellow is a Suzuki color so it works

Fuck....
God damn it...why, when ever I paint my own shit, does it go horribly wrong? First off I HATE the color...didnt build a Kawa-suzki, second I got paint lifting on everything except the damn tank. Tonight will be another round of sanding then a topcoat of new paint. Went out and bought paint this time...matches light green Ford Mustang Fastbacks. My pa used to have one so its got some sentimental value. We'll see how this next round goes.
