Sometimes I look at the shapes of old mixers, drill presses, vacuum cleaners and especially old Bridgeports and wonder why they went to the trouble to cast such beautiful shapes into everything, especially industrial equipment. Then other times I wonder why they don't bother to now. At all. Not even a little.
