...we bite off more than we can chew.
Last night's lesson is that it is not that hard to fuck your, imported and not easy to find CBR250RR, wheel in the ass...HARD! Good news is that it still holds air and with Jay's help we were able to beat into submission as what you see above is at least 75% better than it was. Believe it or not but this was the tire bead that did the damage when trying to stretch that last bit over the rim...was NOT the spoon! During the ride home there was zero noticeable difference so i guess it could be worse.

There are dudes that can straighten that out for you. The tire caused that damage?
That cord was super tight. I still feel bad about this.
I am guessing you will not be joining me this weekend?
@Dave...yes it was where the cord/bead was tight on the opposite side of where the prying with the spoons was taking place...just too tight of a fit and we took too large of a bite...lesson learned! I may try and find someone to fix it but really it rides just like it did before so I will be patient and try to find a replacement stateside. I would be nervous about someone beating on it more.
Im not even the slightest bit concerned about riding on it Ben so I am def going on a ride with you this weekend...and quit feeling bad about it, it certainly wasnt your fault...I was watching that side!!
Or I should say I WASNT watching that side!
Word...just had a bad M/C day yesterday. BTW the BMW guy took the news that he couldn't bring back the bike rather well. I do have to go help him with the turn signals though.
Thats awesome but really I cant imagine he would think he could just bring the bike back and get his cheddar back too. And you will win some karma points for helping with the blinkers.
Ouch! I'm with Dave on this one, I think they have machines to straighten bent rims, not a whole lot of pounding. Sucks ass.
Ben, the dude brought the bike home and wasn't happy with it? Fuck, buzz kill. The only way to wash away that bad taste to take his money and spend it on booze.
Agreed! I will throw a little punk rockin into the mix tonight too...
The story has gotten even more interesting but I'll save it for an upcoming garage/shop night.
That's wheely gnarly mate.
