1984 Specialized Rockhopper my dad picked up new at Bikes Limited in La Crosse
Race and commuter for years, started at Trek in 1989 and got flack for riding an S
Had it repainted on the line for camouflage after adding a few braze-ons for xc ski racks
Never had decals, but I figured it was worth adding to complete the story

24/20" Velocitech Mountain Machine - 1984
Julian made every creek crossing and was right there sending it down the hill with us
Also designed to run a 16" moto tire in back for full gnar

Austin choreographed the whole ride.
Then days before, the gear sherpa broke his wrist on his pennyfarthing and couldn't drive. Austin bailed on riding his coaster and hauled gear with his altered wheelbase 4runner.
Kid Riemer also pictured here with his klunkafied Fargo.
