Are you gonna paint that thing or let it rust? It does look a little better now that you've cleaned up the rough edges some. It apparently also has the benefit of not needing a stand...
I'm going to sand it shiny, then put a color line around the perimeter with the torch, like a rainbow colored sunburst. Then, I'll finish it with boiled linseed oil, which will keep it from rusting and give it a slight amber tint, but keep the bare metal look.
Also, I want a new tailpiece made of brass. That will pretty it up at least a little. Refridgerator magnets are a great idea. If any of you see any corny ones at the dollar store or something, grab me one. Like the little plastic ear of corn. And maybe some of those alphabet letters.
Not quite pretty though, I suppose.
