Long day of literally going backwards, but hopefully in the end will result in having little details done correctly.
My pet frog provided a little comic relief.
I just needed to repack-re-grease the stem bearings, so the forks had to finally come out. In the process I got to finally get the ugly, heavy headlight ears off of there, that's where all the rust is from. I also gutted the ENTIRE wiring harness, that's a big mess right now.
Sounds like you were a productive creature this weekend Thomas! And yeah I think the surface rust is par for the course on the forks...Nothing a little sanding wont cure!
