continuing with the topic of days gone by quality...
who knows maybe the back-lash towards over seas production and the abundance of the shit for sale mentality is slowly starting to happen? We could only hope...
Ben, you'll dig this one, nice printing vid.
I cant drink jd at all, it smells like sweet vomit to me.

I love old motel signs.
They look cool, and they help me find places to stay where my motorcycle will be parked in front of a window about 10 feet from where I sleep, and where there will be tires on a nearby highway making the soothing ocean sound that helps me sleep. I like to take pictures of them.

America Is Fucked... (Graphically at least)
Couldnt've said it any better myself. Sometimes I feel like a fucking fish swimming up stream in this industry that has mostly gone to shit. But I cant rest on my laurels and have to continue to keep fighting the good fight against the shit ass shit thats out there today. Thanks to Jay for finding this for me.

Balls deep in UP Lake Effect Snow!
Our cozy digs |
Lake Gogebic in all its vast glory |
Our feerless leader "Skeeter" put his sled in a 4-5' deep ravine not long after telling us "watch out on this route...there deep, hidden ravines that will swallow you and you sled whole" |
After we got his sled up on the path he hit the gas a little to get out further and proceeded to coast it right into another ravine....this one was tits deep. |
Adam and I have been to the UP sledding several times and always have a good time but since we dont know where the hell we are going alot of time gets wasted on the main trails trying to find the good stuff. This time we had the pleasure of hooking up with the local old timers...and when I say old timers I mean 50-72 yrs old! We met these guys and once we saw them we thought this might be a slow ride...wrong! We went 130 miles through the backcountry in the best snow we've ever ridden in...only hit about 10miles of actual marked trails...fucking awesome! We saw it all from watching a 72 old guy drop an 8' bank onto a half frozen river to the multitude of water crossings. 15 sleds in our group and no real issues...the best trip up there ever. No we know that we need to ride with the locals!

I dont think
mr. peters gives a fuck about audio or video quality.
if Bob Dylan was a dirty, smack addicted, no teethed, skater who played in a few punk bands, he'd be like duane.
I did however hear he is a pre-madonna prick in real life...

Original Racing Situation
Found this while digging further on the Zaeta 530 DT posted on BikeEXIF. Nimble bikes, Italian women, and Porsches getting dirty. Sounds good to me. Who wants to take a trip to Europe?
The longer version is here: http://youtu.be/2dvPFJSlBr4

Davenport or Die
Wipe the crust from your eyes and grab a cup of coffee. It's already afternoon where I'm at. It's my one down day a week (not off day, there's no such thing as off day here) so I finally finished throwing this together from Davenport.

while I should be working...
I come across weird stuff like this. Thanks Patrick for the heads up of this site on FB.
Build your very own streamliner. THe goal: 70mph-100mpg in a 30mph headwind.
Craig Vetter is still a fucking mad scientist.
Here's the streamliner article
and here is his expansive website

39mm Forks for the Triumph...
These should fit nicely in the Mullins trees...my beautiful wife took the pics for me. Should have enough parts to be able to get the Trump into roller status when I get back.

Today's images...
Went to a different gate along the ABL (Administrative Boundary Line) and talked with the EULEX police and a Serbian that was translating for the people that didn't speak the language...good conversations and interesting stories over some Turkish coffee about the war and working along the ABL. There are several other Germans and French military here, but the EULEX people run the gate. I have a picture of me standing on the ABL (between Kosovo and Serbia), but this top one is looking down from a hill top. You can see Serbia down below. They have a road block setup right around the corner so no one can come through here at all.
The Germans have the coolest trucks...
Also went to Mount Goles. This was a strategic and a military base for the Yugoslavian military and whoever has owned this area during any war here. This was a bombed out Yugo military building. DPR sticker left in the bathroom...

Aaron can weld and metal gets hot
After throwing in the towel on the first attempt due to a failing welding lens Mr. Fisher got it nailed on the second go round...he will say he's not too impressed with the finished weld but I think it looks titties. Also shaped my ugly ass welds and burnt my arm real proper like on a rather hot, freshly welded bung.

turns out
the bike I rented was a 250 yamaha something or other. It was lotsa fun.
The Salton sea area of southern cal is literally the wild west. Rules may apply, but nobody pays any attention. four wheelers and dirt bikes every and anywhere. Went to the lake, if you have ever heard of this or about it, it's quite a bit worse in person, really fucking wild. And dead.
Slab city is on the opposite side of the lake we visited, it was already a really long day, so we didn't get to go there.
Surfing in san diego. The wave looks small, pretty much because it was, and the end of the ride.
Kris on her Honda 250 quad. This thing was a metric shit ton of fun.
I got erection
Would love to see something like this, set up for rally!
