I'm just going to sit here
And do nothing. People watching, reading Sideburn, and having a beer. Thanks Gary @ Sideburn for the info on spots to hit and Tommy said it best...hard earned beer! 9 months since my last one. Cheers!

Ben would have been welding battleships. This Memorial Day he simply welded my sissy bar. It ain't so sissy anymore.
Found a herd of wild, rusty steel buffalo.
Bens hard-wood, hand made frame slider close up. These things rival most fine furniture you see.

dirtballs came over
and all got me wanting an enduro bike.
Honda Elsinore is a neat bike. Hens teeth rare, but I want one something bad.

As seen on chug cult...
In relation to Ben eliminating his key, and Dan saying he interested in doing the same...
A instrument 1/4 jack wred up instead of said key.
awesome.
In particular, this would interest a nerd guitar dork, too bad there are not any of "those" types on here.

My latest mod...
...was not intentional.
I am embarrassed to say how much this little mistake has cost me. Let's just say it was an expensive lesson in proper kickstand deployment.
Time for a little DVM therapy.

Palo-de-Fierro
How to make exquisite wooden frame sliders in 5 or so easy steps.
We start with an "ingot" of Arizona Ironwood, completely not the same as the local Wisconsin ironwood, which is from the birch family. The Arizona stuff is from the bean family.
A lathe is great for making square things round. I don't have one so a guy named Dwight with a bitchin homebuilt shovel in his garage turned my ingot round for me. Thanks Dwight!
Drilling out the center. These tight grained woods make a big mess.
Routing with one hand while taking a picture with the other. If the phone is smart, why do I have to be?
Getting it smoother than I can ever hope to be. One handed again.
Not sure how functional they will be but I think they're pretty.
* edit to include a picture of the actual "ingot" instead of a boring stock photo

new 6 over trailer...
Looks lke you need to go to BF4 to get it, at first anyways. Who's in? I can go about 50-60 miles between gas staion stops, should take about five weeks to get there at that pace...

Umm, not sure, but...
I don't think they are supposed to look like this?
Long day of literally going backwards, but hopefully in the end will result in having little details done correctly.
My pet frog provided a little comic relief.

RIP Mr. Shelby
Not sure that any man other than my Father had more of an influence on me then Carrol Shelby. My artwork as a young buck consisted of either a Mustang Fastback or his Cobra.
Digging through the archives of my childhood and one would find many a pic of me, my Pa and one of his many Mustangs. The one I remember the most was his Ocean Blue Fastback...it was a fucking animal! My Pa tells me the story of when I was about 5 yrs old and sitting on the console between the two front seats when he hammered down on that fastback....I was to be found in the trunk as he had removed the back bench seat for some all important weight savings. I wont go into detail on his "state of mind" in those days but lets just say he probably thought it was a good idea for me to sit with no seatbelt ontop of the console while he demonstrated how well the traction bars worked.
Rest In Peace Mr. Shelby.

A little icing
on the poop cake I like to call a vacation.
Floyd's in Manistique, MI (when not being recognized for their ground breaking neon work) is a nice respite from the hospitality of the Michigan U.P., which mainly consists of watered down varnish gas and cold-ass nights at a campground with locked up toilets and no running water. Floyd himself will come out of the kitchen to remind you of your mistakes in ordering the breakfast you wanted, and the grief it has caused him. But he does it in such a way that you want to give him a hug and leave a big tip.
And on the way home, a quick stop at the hallowed ground..

Depleted uranium...
...looks so nice with flowers growing out of it. Stumbled onto this bombed out Russian T-72 or Serb M-84 tank and found a DPR sticker on the bumper. Huh. Didn't know they were fans.
Someone come over and help me get that turbo charger out of there...I think its still usable.

After much anticipation...
We are ready to drop. DPR has teamed up with NGK to produce the worlds finest, hottest, and fucking coolest spark plug.
This plug is so rad, it'll blow the brains right out of your head. Your bike will go so fast you'll more than likely shit your pants. The chicks will be so hot after you, you'll no doubt end up in divorce court. There will be a caution label on this plug, stating that if you are not prepared to be this fucking rad, then go to the ganky little auto parts store and buy the cheap-ass, commie built champions.
Let me present the DPR8ea-9.

Poundin' Boxers
Getting the front end lifted up redneck-style. 'Merica.
After buying up the Mt. Horeb Quik Trip's entire supply of $1 Boxer 24oz silos, we headed to Dan's shop for some metal shaping fun.
The finished fender blank. Dave's hammers and Dan's english wheel did pretty nice work even though I was using them. Sorry about the fuzzy photos, referred to as "boxer vision".
Very funny Tom. You know I prefer fluorescent green dildos.
